Inclusion Criteria: * hip osteoarthritis as indication for THA surgery * use of cemented prosthetic Components Exclusion Criteria: * symptomatic osteoarthritis on the contralateral hip * neuromuscular disorder * dementia * BMI\>40 * previous surgery on any hip
